The discovery of female freedom accepts no given top or bottom. The old symbolic order of male rule is put into question. The idea that patriarchy may be at an end because women have ceased to believe is the underlying theme of the movie. A “different", female interpretation of what used to be exclusively male concepts slowly emerges. Female freedom develops in the relations between women. These relations are staged in short scenes and images.
