Christian Aellig (37), a successful lawyer in Bern, returns to his native “Oeschenen” for the funeral of his mother. The village people regard Christian, the man from the city, with suspicion. An encounter with Julia (36), his girlfriend from the old days, who is now married to his best childhood friend, Adrian Muenger (37), forces Christian to confront his past, a confrontation will change his life. As the story progresses, Christian wades deeper and deeper into the dark mystery that lurks behind the façade of the peaceful village of 500 inhabitants.
